Corrie’s Jack P Shepherd drunkenly insults Jane McDonald on boozy night out

Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd was caught drunkenly insulting and impersonating Jane McDonald during a boozy night out with his co-stars.

Jack, who plays David Platt in the ITV soap , called Jane a "cow" as his pals begged him to stop.

The actor can be seen in Mirror Online’s exclusive pictures enjoying a night out in Manchester’s MediaCity on Thursday with his co-stars Julia Goulding (his on-screen girlfriend Shona Ramsey), Daniel Brocklebank (Billy Mayhew), and former star Hayley Tamaddon, who played Andrea Beckett.

Our source tells us the stars were "drunk and rowdy" and that Jack, who was recently pictured passed out in a lift following a boozy day watching England in the World Cup, became very animated when Hayley mentioned she was doing a TV show with Jane.

Our onlooker said: "They were drunk and rowdy and getting louder and louder.

"Hayley was talking about being on TV with Jane McDonald and was excited about this. Jack called Jane a cow and started impersonating her, copying her accent, and Hayley kept telling him to stop.

"They were having a lot of drinks and in the short time we were there they got numerous rounds of drinks and shots. Jack was getting progressively drunker and louder and drawing attention to the table."

Our source say the stars also chatted about former executive producer Kate Oates, and how the show "won’t be the same" now she’s gone.

They added: "They were drinking a fair bit of, and I was surprised they were on a weekday night since they were probably working the following day.

"Jack and Daniel were drinking pints of beer, Julia was drinking gin and tonic and Hayley was drinking red wine. Jack and Daniel were drunk especially."

The boozy night out comes one month after Jack celebrated the World Cup so hard he ended up passed out in a lift in a Manchester block of flats.

He was found slumped against the side of the lift clutching a bottle opener and his phone.

A fan found him and shared a snap online, and it quickly went viral.

Jack, who appeared to be asleep when he was found in the lift just after midnight following England’s penalties victory against Columbia, saw the funny side after realising the image had been shared around online.

He shared it on his Instagram story with the caption: "I was texting Gareth saying… ‘it’s coming home!’"

Mirror Online has contacted Jack and Jane’s representatives for comment.
