Coronation Street star Julia Goulding is 23 weeks pregnant with the pair’s first child and in a new interview with OK! magazine , she and her husband Ben Silver open up on the gender of their baby.
Gushing over her pregnancy, the Shona Ramsey actress says: “I love being pregnant now I’m in my second trimester – I feel fantastic.”
The pair reveal they are yet to find out the gender of their baby, with Ben saying: “No, we’re having a surprise, but it was tempting at the 20-week scan.”
Julia, 34, added: “He or she has got a personality already. At the scan, it posed for a minute and then turned its back on us and wouldn’t move!
"Which means they may take after Ben, who’s more camera shy than me, or perhaps they’ve got my attitude! We’ve got a sassy one, whatever it is."
Dad-to-be Ben agreed, saying: We do! It’s been amazing. The first time I felt the baby kick was amazing."
The pair also opened on the names they are thinking of for their little one, with Ben revealing that he wants to honour Star Wars in the tot's moniker as he's a big fan of the sci-fi series.
Julia revealed: "We’ve got a lot of girls’ names but we haven’t got any boys’ names yet."
Ben said: "I want Han if it’s a boy as then he’ll be Han Silver, which sounds like Han Solo and I’m a big Star Wars fan."
Julia however, revealed that she has ruled out the idea, saying: "Plus, Ben thinks he looks like a young Harrison Ford [laughs]! I’ve ruled out Han so boy names are proving difficult. Ben also wanted Wolfgang but that also got vetoed. Although, weirdly, my mum wanted to call me Wolfgang if I’d been a boy – I’m glad I was a girl [laughs]!
"I think you’ve got to be a certain kind of cool to pull off a name like that and I don’t think I’m that brave."
Julie and Ben married in December 2018 at Manchester’s Albert Hall, with the beautiful wedding exclusively featured in OK! magazine.
