A new report claims that Liam Hemsworth has been ‘seeking comfort’ in friend Isabel Lucas after his shock split from Miley Cyrus.
Woman’s Day reported on Monday that the pair had been socialising in Byron Bay, where Liam has been staying with his brother Chris for the past fortnight.
‘Liam’s in Byron staying with Chris. Isabel moves in the same social circles up there, and they’ve spent some time together,’ an insider allegedly told the publication.

The report goes on to say: ‘They’ve become quite good friends. She’s there to take his mind off things and she’s been an excellent person to turn to for advice.’
However, it is unclear when Isabel and Liam may have spent time together, as according to her Instagram, the actress has been hiking in the Swiss Alps this week with a male companion.
Prior to that, at the start of August, she was on holiday in Greece.

It comes after Liam and Miley announced that they had split last week.
The couple, who have dated on-off for 10 years, stunned fans when they revealed they had split after just seven months of marriage.

A representative for Miley confirmed the split on Saturday, August 10.
They said in a statement: ‘Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers.
‘They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.’

While the pair didn’t confirm their break-up until this month, it’s believed they actually called it quits in June after ‘drifting apart’.
The last known footage of them together was from July 9 during a sighting in California, but they looked decidedly unhappy.

He shared a photo to Instagram of a beach at sunset alongside a brief caption addressed to his fans after it was claimed that they have been separated for months.
He wrote: ‘Hi all. Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward… Peace and Love.’
Miley and Liam married last December in her native Tennessee after an on-off romance that began when they co-starred in the 2010 movie The Last Song.
