The Gaines brood may gain another.
Chip and Joanna Gaines, who are already parents to five children, said that a sixth isn’t out of question.
“I think we have to have another one because I’m particular about the only child thing. Crew needs a sister to manage this whole thing out,” Joanna, 40, told People on Wednesday of their newest addition. “Don’t be surprised if No. 6 is in the cards!”
The interior designers and former stars of “Fixer Upper” welcomed Crew in June and are already parents to Emmie, 8, Duke, 9, Ella, 12, and Drake, 13.
“It’s hard to believe this little turkey will only be 10 years old when Emmie is graduating from high school,” Chip, 43, said of the family’s newborn.
Although the couple was looking to the future, Joanna spoke about being pregnant at 40.
“When I first got pregnant I kept telling everyone at the office, ‘Guys, I am my best self when I’m pregnant,’ she recalled. “And then, for whatever reason, I was limping into work and I couldn’t breathe. At 40, it’s definitely a little different.”
She also wrote in the Magnolia Journal in August that her most recent pregnancy came as a surprise.
“Chip and I made a choice to take some time off this past year because it seemed best for us in that season — even though we knew it would stretch us to stay still. Only a few weeks later I found out I was pregnant.”
