Chelsea Handler, 44, admits she’s had a change of heart and would ‘love to find someone to love’

She has been telling the world that she’s perfectly fine living the single life, without a steady relationship.

But on Monday, Chelsea Handler, 44, revealed during an appearance on The Talk that she’s changing her tune on the matter.

The chat show host confessed that her change of heart has come about after undergoing a period of therapy.

Reversal: Chelsea Handler confessed therapy helped her realize that she would in fact like to be in a relationship during an appearance on The Talk on Monday

‘I have changed my mind about being open to relationships, because I thought I was tough for a really long time,’ the comedienne admitted.

‘And what I learned through therapy is that being really tough is actually being vulnerable. And being able to admit that you want to be in a relationship, you know, and I thought I would sound weak if I said that.’

She added: ‘And listen, I have a pretty good life, so I’m happy if I don’t find a relationship, but I would love to find someone to love,’ which garnered a loud applause from the audience and co-hosts.

Handler’s love-life, as well as a plethora of other personal issues and topics, are chronicled in her memoir, Life Will Be The Death Of Me which also forms the basis of her new comedy tour.

In it, she gets candid about some conversations she has had with her therapist, which includes why she has been so drawn to older men and why that attraction has been slowly changing.

‘I like older men a lot, and I’ll tell you why it’s become a problem: because now I’m 43, and older men are getting really old, if you catch my drift,’ she wrote as reported by Refinery 29.

‘So now I have to scale back my margin and lower the difference of age that’s most preferable to me, which used to be 20 years. This is what is referred to as thinning the herd. That is why I have the feelings I do for Robert Mueller (former FBI director).

Handler has dated or hooked up with a number of famous and powerful men.

The list includes an encounter with rocker Lenny Kravitz and a one-off dinner date with celebrity chef Bobby Flay, a two-and-a-half year relationship with businessman Andre Balazs and her much-publicized five-month fling with rapper 50 Cent.
