Mike Thalassitis is being remembered by his friends after his tragic death at the age of 26.
The Love Island and Celebs Go Dating star’s body was found in woods near his Essex home.
Mike, who found fame on the ITV2 dating show in 2017, was also a former League Two footballer.
Since the news of his shock death broke, tributes have been flooding in from his celebrity friends, fellow Love Island stars and his former club Chelmsford City.
Lots of the Islanders who spent weeks in the villa with Mike paid tribute along with other reality TV stars.
Love Island presenter Caroline Flack posted a heartfelt message on instagram.
Along with a photo of the pair at the Love Island wrap party, she added the caption: "Mike… you were a total gentleman… I won’t forget that … it’s so sad …you will be missed. RIP"
One of the first to pay tribute to Mike was former TOWIE star and fellow Essex resident Mario Falcone.
Using a broken heart emoji, he tweeted: "I am devastated. Can’t believe it."
He later added: "I can not stress this enough. Life is tough for everyone and if you are going through a down patch please please talk to someone. I know personally it’s hard to open up but it’s the best thing you can do."
Fellow Love Island star Chris Hughes, who was in the villa with Mike, said he was "taken far, far too soon".
He tweeted: "His name was Mike Thalassitis, and every inch of my heart goes out to his family & friends. A good guy, taken far, far to soon"
Mike coupled up with Olivia Atwood in the villa in one of the best moments of the 2017 series.
Olivia posted on Instagram: "Literally don’t know what to say. Another one gone too young. Thinking of mike’s family and friends at the horrendous time. you will be missed terribly."
Tyla Carr had a romance with Mike in the Love Island villa during their 2017 series.
She tweeted: "I can’t believe the call I’ve just had. Mike, you were loved by all of the Love island family. You’ll be missed so much. All my love goes out to your friends and family. Shocked."
Amber Davies, who was also in the villa with Mike, tweeted: "I am in utter shock. @MikeThalassitis you were one of the most genuine guy! I just can’t believe this! You’ll be missed so much you have no idea"
Fellow 2017 Islander Dom Lever said: "I’m shocked at the news!! me and @MikeThalassitis may not have seen eye to eye but he was a top guy"
Dr Alex George, who was in the villa in 2018, put: "Devastated to hear of the passing of Mike Thalassitis. My heart goes out to friends and family"
Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen, who were on the Love Island series before Mike, sent some heartfelt messages.
Olivia tweeted: "Mike you are going to be sorely sorely missed. My heart is with your family. I’m in complete shock"
While Alex added: "I cant get my head round this RIP brother mike thalassitis"
Islander Kady McDermott said: "In absolute shock. Mike Thalassitis your lovely self and smile will be truly missed. I send my love and condolences to all of his friends and family at this awful time. Will never be forgotten. RIP"
Celebs Go Dating receptionist Tom Read Wilson and former dating expert Eden Blackman paid their respects.
Taking to twitter, Eden said: "I’m shocked and extremely saddened to hear reports of the passing of @MikeThalassitis . He was extremely fun to work with and always made me smile. My sincere condolences to his family. RIP Mike"
Tom tweeted: "Devastated to learn of the passing of @MikeThalassitis . He was kind and dear and I shall never forget his warm cuddles and wicked twinkle. What a premature and heartbreaking loss."
Mike played for Vanarama National League South club Chelmsford City from 2015 t0 2016.
They tweeted: "The Club are saddened to hear the news of the passing of former #Clarets striker Mike Thalassitis. Our thoughts and prayers go to his family and friends at this time."
Stevenage FC, for whom Thalassitis began his football career, tweeted: "Everybody at @StevenageFC is shocked & saddened to hear the tragic news about former player Michael Thalassitis.
"Our sincerest condolences go to his family & friends."
