The host revealed that she was set to fly out to Mallorca in just a matter of hours ahead of the final and also confirmed that she’s presenting the programme’s winter version next year, promising fans the new spin-off will be ‘amazing’.

She told her social media followers: ‘I’m off into town and then tomorrow I am on a flight to Mallorca to do the final. Life is good.’

The blonde beauty went on to discuss Love Island’s festive edition: ‘So, Winter Love Island… I keep getting asked questions and all I can tell you is it’s in winter, and it’s being filmed in South Africa.

Caroline – who has fronted the revived ITV2 dating show since its launch in 2015 – will travel between the UK and South Africa for the series, which is expected to last for six weeks.

A source told The Sun earlier this week: ‘Caroline is now synonymous with the show so it wouldn’t seem right to have anyone else hosting it. They’ll use the same production crew too so it should all run like clock work.’

The insider added: ‘ITV bosses have been thrilled with the popularity of the show this year and enjoyed bumper viewing figures so it seemed like a no brainer to fill the January reality TV slot left by Celebrity Big Brother.

ITV declined to comment when contacted by MailOnline at the time of publication. MailOnline reached out to Caroline’s representatives for further comment.
