Cardi B narrowly avoids a wardrobe malfunction at VMAs after-party

Cardi B narrowly avoids a wardrobe malfunction as she shows off her eye-popping curves in a tight snakeskin print dress at star-studded after-party after winning big at the VMAs

She scooped up the gong for Best Hip Hop during the MTV VMAs hours earlier.

And Cardi B continued her celebrations at Missy Elliott’s glamorous Courvoisier Cognac after-party in New York on Monday night, where she narrowly avoided a wardrobe malfunction.

The rapper, 26, showed off her flawless curves in a skintight snakeskin print minidress which boasted a perilously plunging neckline, and which she had to hold up as her assets threatened to pop out of her dress.

Careful: Cardi B narrowly avoided a wardrobe malfunction as she showed off her eye-popping curves in a tight snakeskin print dress at star-studded VMAs after-party in NYC on Monday

Cardi’s impressive statistics were on full display in the clingy midi-length number.

The daringly low-cut neckline put emphasis on her eye-popping assets as she put on an animated display.

Clearly feeling body confident, the star worked her angles as she showed off her derriere while posing up a storm in towering gold high heels.

Cardi – real name Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar – sported sleek shoulder length raven tresses and a glamorous coat of make-up.

Close call: Cardi’s ensemble had a very deep plunging neckline, which meant that she risked popping out of the dress

Having a great time: Cardi was clearly enjoying herself as she partied with Mona Scott-Young

Meanwhile, Cardi was joined by her BFF Star Brim who showed off her figure in a black crop top and leggings.

The pals looked like they were having the time of their lives as they partied the night away.

During her acceptance speech for the Best Hip Hop Video award, Cardi B thanked her ‘glam team’ for making her butt look its best in her video for Money.

She used her thank you speech to voice her gratitude to her makeup artist Erika La Pearl and hairstylist Tokyo Stylez and the director Jora Frantzis for helping her overcome some of her body confidence issues when filming the racy promo.

Speaking on stage, she said: ‘Since this is the Video Music Awards and everything, I really want to thank my music video team – first Jora Frantzis – that’s the director.

‘She gotta hear outta my mouth, “I look ugly. Edit my stomach, edit my butt. Smooth my cellulite out.” And I wanna thank my glam team, Erika, Tokyo. Thank y’all so much. Without y’all, my music videos wouldn’t look like this. Thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus!’

Cardi has been open about going under the knife for a breast augmentation and liposuction, and she recently joked that the reason she wanted a larger chest was to give her more buoyancy in the water.

The I Like It hitmaker had her breasts done around the same time she had liposuction on her stomach, to help her regain her pre-pregnancy body following the birth of her daughter Kulture Kiari.
