Caprice took her ‘miracle’ dog Stinker for a walk during the UK’s lockdown amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

The American model, 48, appeared to be in good spirits as she doted on her pooch, who is deaf and has dementia, by carrying her in her arms in London on Friday.

Of her beloved pet, an insider told MailOnline: ‘Caprice is very close to her dog Stinker who is now 19 years old. Caprice got her not long after she moved to London to keep her company.

‘Unfortunately Stinker suffers from dementia and is deaf. Stinker also has heart problems and Caprice has to carry her to a patch of grass near her house as she can’t walk very far.

‘Stinker’s cardiologist was honest with Caprice and they said she wouldn’t survive more than 6 months but that was two and a half years ago now. Stinker is still a happy dog and is in no pain or discomfort.’

The source continued: ‘When Caprice takes her out for pee pee it can be a drama. She has to wait for a minimum of 15 minutes for Stinker to sniff everything and, most of the time, she decides she doesn’t want to wee on the grass anyway.

‘Stinker tends to wait until she gets back into the house and prefers the carpet instead. Our source says Caprice is always cleaning up after her.’

The Dancing On Ice star donated £250K of her own money to support domestic abuse charity Woman’s Trust over the past eight years.

The blonde beauty has been working with the Westminster division for eight years after a close friend was in an abusive relationship and still receives therapy to this day.

Caprice hopes to raise awareness of the charity during the pandemic after the charity saw a drop in calls in the first three weeks of April.

A source told MailOnline: ‘Everyone that knows Caprice is aware she has no tolerance for any kind of abuse or bullying and eight years ago she committed herself to Woman’s Trust to help fund the Westminster division.

‘So far she has single-handedly helped keep the Westminster branch open having donated nearly a quarter of a million pounds from her own private funds.’

The source added: ‘This is very close to Caprice’s heart as one of her closest friends was in a very abusive relationship both physically and mentally.

‘After three years of actively trying to get out, she finally had the strength to do it, but to this day still goes to therapy and has never fully recovered.

‘Abuse hits everyone rich, poor, young, old, famous and Caprice wanted to help women and families in her community.’
