Britney Spears has deleted her own Instagram.

Fans were met with warnings that read: ‘Sorry, this page isn’t available’ and ‘User not found’ while trying to visit the pop star’s page on Tuesday.

After causing quite the commotion, the pop star, 39, used her Twitter page later in the day to explain: ‘Don’t worry folks … just taking a little break from social media to celebrate my engagement!!!! I’ll be back soon.’

This comes after she announced the news of her engagement to Sam Asghari, 27, Sunday via Instagram.

The star reportedly made the decision to send a ‘powerful’ message amid her conservatorship battle, according to Page Six.

‘She’s happy and in a great place,’ the source said, adding, ‘and silence can be a powerful thing and a powerful message.’

The insider added that Britney is trying to stay offline ‘in light of the successful path that she’s been on and continues to be on [following] the news of [her engagement].’

It’s unclear how much of the Instagram is actually in Britney’s control, however.

A bombshell New Yorker investigation about the star in July said that a group of about ‘ten people responsible for managing Spears’s legal and business affairs, public relations, and social media met to discuss merchandise deals, song-license requests, and Spears’s posts to Instagram and Twitter.’

According to the story Spears’ team says she ‘typically writes the posts and submits them’ to a third party who then uploads them.

But some topics are reportedly off-limits, as one team member said: ‘She’s not supposed to discuss the conservatorship.’

Originally people suspected Spears’s recent slew of risqué content could have gotten her account disabled for violating Instagram’s Community Guidelines.

Too much? Recently Spears has been posting some very risqué content, perhaps violating the app’s Community Guidelines

Last Thursday the star shared video of her thong-clad behind while hitting back at haters saying she edited photos of her figure.

And Britney appeared topless earlier the day, cupping her breasts while donning white bikini bottoms, red boots and little more.

According to Instagram’s guidelines, users posts must be ‘appropriate for a diverse audience,’ including minors.

‘We know that there are times when people might want to share nude images that are artistic or creative in nature, but for a variety of reasons, we don’t allow nudity on Instagram,’ the policy explains.

This bans ‘content that show sexual intercourse, genitals, and close-ups of fully-nude buttocks,’ with some exceptions for female nipples like breastfeeding, birth or ‘health-related situations.’

Britney’s Instagram has become a fascination for fans, some of whom think the star uses her pics to send coded messages to the public. Her page is even the subject of a podcast called, aptly, Britney’s Gram.

On Sunday Britney she used Instagram to announce her engagement to beau Sam Asghari, sharing a photo of her flashing a giant diamond ring.

And she responded to critics – many of whom were urging the start to get a prenup – in typical fashion, posting a snap of her backside in a pink thong along with the caption: ‘People love to talk s**t so KISS MY A**!!!!!!’

Britney and Sam have been together since 2017, after meeting on the set of her Slumber Party music video.

Back in June, she claimed that her conservatorship was preventing the pair from getting married, telling courts: ‘I want to be able to get married and have a baby. I was told right now in the conservatorship I am not able to get married or have a baby.’

Spears may not have to deal with those restrictions for long, however, following news that her father Jamie moved to end her conservatorship after 13 years.

In recent months, Britney’s fiancé has been a regular support as she battles to end her conservatorship.

‘Sam hates seeing Britney not be able to make decisions for herself and frankly doesn’t care for her dad because of it,’ an insider told Page Six recently.

‘Even though they have wanted to take the next step for a while now, Britney and Sam know it would be so much easier to do if she weren’t under the restraints she’s under,’ they added.

Jamie first took control of Britney’s finances and personal decisions in February of 2008.

A month earlier, the singer had been placed on two psychiatric holds, which helped set the conservatorship in motion.

Her initial visit to a psychiatric hospital came after she refused to turn over her children to her ex-husband Kevin Federline when she was supposed to based on their custody arrangement.

By the end of the year the conservatorship was extended indefinitely, and it’s currently still in place.

However, amid reporting about the circumstances of Britney’s conservatorship, which doesn’t allow her to make any financial decisions for herself, many of her fans joined the #FreeBritney movement, which seeks the end of the legal arrangement.

Since last year, the pop superstar has been vocal about having her father Jamie removed from his position as conservator, and she recently replaced her court-appointed counsel with the attorney Mathew Rosengart, whom she requested.

In a shocking development, Jamie announced in August that he would be stepping down from his role as conservator, though he notably didn’t include any timeline for his departure.

He suddenly went further last week when he filed in court to end the conservatorship all together.

However, sources close to Britney alleged to TMZ last week that Jamie filed to end the conservatorship before her lawyer had even requested as much because he believes the judge overseeing the case will require a mental evaluation first, which Jamie allegedly believes his daughter will fail.

The sources claimed that he hoped that such a failure might bring his daughter even closer to him.
