BAFTA TV Awards stars leave ceremony bare foot and bleary eyed

This year's TV BAFTA's had been a glamorous affair with the stars of the small screen coming together to acknowledge all their hard work of the past year.

And after the prestigious ceremony came to a close on Sunday night, many of the famous faces made sure the celebrations continued long after.

Leading the way were the stars of Good Morning Britain.

After skipping her early morning start on Monday, a wide-eyed Kate Garraway looked ready to party as she emerged from the bash at London's Royal Festival Hall.

Clutching her flowing red gown, Kate looked in good spirits as tottered into her waiting cab.

She was followed by co-star Piers Morgan – who looked glad to remove his bow-tie as he headed home for the night.

The GMB host had to set his alarm early for his Monday morning TV start with Susanna Reid, who had also joined him at the bash.

While Scarlett Moffatt treated herself to a late night takeaway as she was spotted making a beeline for a nearby McDonald's.

Still glad in her glamorous floorlength gown, the ex Gogglebox star emerged clutching hold of her Happy Meal box which she carried into the after party.

After starting her night by arriving on the red carpet clad in several bin bags and a trail of rubbish, Daisy May Cooper had a quick costume change before heading on to the after party.

Emerging in a little black dress, The This Country actress was spotted hobbling around bare-foot after the ceremony while clutching hold of her goody bag.

Benedict Cumberbatch made a slightly more suave exit as he left with his wife, but opted to keep a pair of dark sunglasses pressed over his eyes – despite it being late.

As he followed wife Sophie Hunter into a waiting taxi, the actor proudly kept a tight grip of his award for best actor in drama Patrick Melrose, which was also named best mini-series.

Despite missing out on taking home any of the awards up for grabs, Sheridan Smith looked in good spirits as she emerged.

The actress appeared to have put her recent troubles behind her as she beamed while holding on to the arm of a mystery man.

Ruth Wilson looked slightly less impressed as she left the party, despite taking home the leading actress award for her work in Mrs Wilson.

While Billie Piper was looking rather bleary-eyed as she clutched her jewelerry.

The actress had been nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in BBC thriller Collateral but lost out to Killing Eve's Fiona Shaw.

Killing Eve had been the big winner of the night, with the cast and crew taking home three awards – including best actress for Jodie Comer.
