Cocaine found in Chris Brown‘s Paris hotel suite when he was taken in for questioning over a French model’s rape claim didn’t belong to him, his attorney said Wednesday.
The coke cops found when they arrested Brown, 29, at the Mandarin Oriental hotel Monday “was not his” and “belonged to those who had come to party in his suite on the night of January 20-21,” his French attorney Raphaël Chiche told Agence France-Presse.
The Grammy-award winning R&B singer was also found with weed — but has a note from an American doctor for medical marijuana, the lawyer said.
Brown, his bodyguard and a friend were detained after a 24-year-old woman accused them of raping her in the hotel suite during a cocaine-and-weed-fueled party Jan. 16.
After being held for 24 hours, the trio were released without charges Tuesday night.
Brown “says he had no sexual relations of any sort with the complainant,” Chiche said, adding that his client wants to bring a defamation lawsuit.
In a post on Instagram after his release, the platinum recording artist said the accusation was false and called his accuser a lying “B!tch.”
The prosecutor’s office said they are still under investigation on suspicion of aggravated rape and a drug offense — but Brown was reportedly told he was allowed to leave the country.
In May 2018, Brown was sued by a woman who claimed she was held at the singer’s Los Angeles-area home and raped by one of his friends at a drug-and-alcohol-fueled party, where attendees were allegedly supplied with Molly, cocaine and weed. The LAPD couldn’t determine if the sex was forced or consensual and the lawsuit is ongoing.
