Arnold Schwarzenegger promised he’d be back—and once again, now, he is.
The full trailer for November’s Terminator: Dark Fate was just released, and it looks absolutely action packed, and like it’s got the chance to bring this long-running franchise back to its core sci-fi, action, time-travel elements. The bodybuilding and action star isn’t the only one returning here, either—Linda Hamilton is back as Sarah Connor for the first time since 1991’s Terminator 2: Judgment Day (we won’t count her appearance on the fantastic Universal Studios Terminator ride), and she looks 100% badass and fantastic.

Just as the trailer was officially released on YouTube, Schwarzenegger shared it to his Instagram, with a caption that reads “We’re back. Here’s your @terminator: Dark Fate trailer,” of course referencing his iconic “I’ll be back” line from the original Terminator film. (In the comments, strongman Eddie Hall wrote, “I just pissed myself a little. Cannot wait.” If that’s not a ringing endorsement for an action flick, what is?)

Terminator: Dark Fate marks the sixth film in the Terminator franchise, following The Terminator, Terminator 2: Judgement Day, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, Terminator: Salvation and Terminator: Genisys. There was also a television series, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, which ran for two seasons between 2008 and 2009, with Lena Headey of Game of Thrones fame in the titular role.
Schwarzenegger and Hamilton are also joined atop Dark Fate‘s cast by Mackenzie Davis, who’s become a go-to in the sci-fi world over the last few years, appearing in Blade Runner 2049, The Martian, and in great TV roles like Halt and Catch Fire and the Emmy-winning episode of Black Mirror, “San Junipero.” Trust us: she’s a gem.

The trailer also makes a key point of marking the return of James Cameron as producer—it’s the first Terminator film that he’s been a credited in that role since Judgement Day (he always receives credit in some capacity, as he created the characters; this movie marks a more hands-on involvement). He’s also listed as a writer, with a ‘story by’credit. Cameron was also a producer of Alita: Battle Angel, which was released earlier this year.
With Cameron back, Schwarzenegger, Hamilton, and Davis in the cast, and Tim Miller (the original Deadpool) in the director’s chair, it’s looking like there’s some good reason to be excited for the latest entry in the Terminator canon. We’ll just have to wait for November 1 to find out.
