HuffPost reports that Ariana Grande was added to the list of artists who will perform at a tribute to Aretha Franklin during the music icon’s funeral morning. The funeral will be held tomorrow morning in Aretha’s hometown of Detroit, Michigan at the Greater Grace Temple.
Gwendolyn Quinn, a spokesperson for Franklin’s family, told HuffPost that “Aretha was fond of” Ariana. She also indicated that the family appreciated Ariana’s performance of “You Make Me Feel (Like A Natural Woman” with the Roots on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Ariana is the youngest performer announced among a list of artists who have been invited to the event. Other invitees include Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Jennifer Hudson, Faith Hill, Shirley Caesar and Vanessa Bell Armstrong.
