Lockdown FIRST LOOK: Wearied Anne Hathaway puffs on a cigarette at an open window as Chiwetel Ejiofor recites poetry in the street during scenes for new pandemic-themed film
- A first look at new pandemic-themed film Lockdown has been revealed as Anne Hathaway and Chiwetel Ejiofor filmed scenes earlier this week
- Hathaway’s character Linda could be seen hanging out of a window puffing on a cigarette while her partner Paxton [Ejiofor] stood below in the street
- In the film, Linda and Paxton are a sparing couple who decide to call a truce in order to set up an elaborate heist amid the coronavirus pandemic
- Production kicked off in London late last month for the comedy drama helmed by director and creator Doug Liman
- Ben Stiller, Lily James, Stephen Merchant among others are reportedly in advanced talks to also sign on to the film
Anne Hathaway and Chiwetel Ejiofor have been seen shooting some of the first scenes for new pandemic-themed film, Lockdown, earlier this week.
Hathaway, who will play lead character Linda, could be seen looking weary while standing at an open window as she puffed on a cigarette in shots from filming.
The Oscar-winning actress, 37, was seen without make-up and her hair drawn back into a ponytail, as she cut a strained figure while gazing out onto the street.
Meanwhile, Ejiofor, 43, who was first linked to the film earlier this week and will star as Paxton, was spotted filming out on the street as he appeared to recite poetry.

In the photos, it seems that Ejiofor was reading aloud to Hathaway, as he stood in the road below her window after he was seen walking down the steps of her property.
The actor was dressed in a red floral print shirt and grey trousers, while Hathaway was wore a white T-shirt underneath a cream cardigan.
As the scene progressed, the star was seen flicking ash from her cigarette down onto the street below.
The location for the film appeared to be an affluent street in London, judging by the well-presented terraced houses which were being used for filming.

Hathaway and Ejiofor are set to join a star-studded cast, as it was reported by Deadline on Thursday that producers are in advanced talks with Ben Stiller, Lily James, Stephen Merchant, Dulé Hill, Jazmyn Simon and Mark Gatiss to sign up.
Production kicked off in London late last month for the comedy drama helmed by director and creator Doug Liman.
Once the truce between Linda and Paxton is called, the couple attempt to set up a high-stakes jewellery heist at world famous department store, Harrods.
What’s going on? A group of neighbours were also seen peering through their window, possibly as extras for the film looking out at what Ejiofor’s character was up to

The film has been scripted by Steven Knight and originated by Storyteller Productions and its producers P.J. van Sandwijk and Michael Lesslie.
The project marks a reunion for Hathaway and Knight, who previously directed the actress in the mystery thriller, Serenity.
The production is reportedly filming under strict coronavirus guidelines.
P.J. van Sandwijk is producing with Alison Winter and Michael Lesslie, with AGC’s Ford and Miguel Palos onboard as executive producers.
