Judy Murray, 59, took the opportunity to tease her son Jamie Murray, 33, for his sports attire as he competed during a recent doubles tennis match at the Barcelona Open 2019. In view of her 248,000 Twitter followers, the tennis coach uploaded a snap of the sportsman as he went to take his serve and could be seen in black leggings underneath his shorts. She captioned the post: “Move over Robin Hood. Jamie Murray: Men In Tights. @UnderArmourUK.” Fans appeared to find the cheeky swipe hilarious as the post gained over 52 likes in a few hours.
One person quipped: “He wears them well, makes his legs actually look strongish.”
While another person added: “Must have been cold out there.”
The mother-of-two was referring to Jamie’s recent doubles match alongside Bruno Soares, where the sporting duo made it to the quarter finals at the Barcelona Open.
Judy is also the mother to Wimbledon tennis champion Andy Murray, 31, who recently had to undergo hip surgery.
She was married to William Murray, the father of her sons Andy and Jamie, from 1980 to 2005.
It is believed that she is currently single following her split form Phil Reid, 48,in 2014.
The tennis coach recently opened up about her ideal man in a candid interview last year.
She told the Daily Mail: “As for what I’m looking for [in a man]? A nice pastry chef with a good sense of humour and great choux buns.
“If I was to meet someone, I would need to be set up, but no one ever tries.
“I find it hard to trust new people because you never quite know their agenda, so that makes meeting someone difficult for me.”
Meanwhile, the athlete’s mum previously revealed her frustrations online after a shop refused to serve her.
She told her followers on the micro-blogging site she went to pay for two doughnuts in the capital when her Scottish money was refused.
Taking to the site, she wrote: “When you go to pay £9 for two donuts (yes, really) in London and your £10 Bank of Scotland note is refused because, ‘We only take British ones’.”
Fans rushed to moment on the post, with many echoing a similar sentiment after they too had experienced similar actions.
One person commented: “That’s ridiculous! I would have said ‘You’re the great @JudyMurray, you can have the two donuts for nothing!’”
Another person said: “Oh man is this still happening? I normally just take my money somewhere else.”
