Andy Cohen Is Hopeful Bethenny Frankel Will Return To ‘RHONY’!

Once a Bravolebrity, always a Bravolebrity??

As we reported last month, Variety reported Bethenny Frankel was leaving the Real Housewives of New York after joining the series in its first season in 2008.

On Wednesday, during his SiriusXM show Andy Cohen Live, RHONY executive producer Andy Cohen revealed the Skinnygirl creator first expressed interest in quitting six weeks ago. He said:

“My overwhelming feeling about Bethenny leaving RHONY, and I told her this six weeks ago were she going to leave, that I am so grateful that she came back… She already left is what we need to remember… We were so lucky to have these last seasons with her on it. And it was just so fun to have her back and she brought so much to the show that I just am living in the gratitude of her second return.”

The businesswoman initially left the program in 2010, and rejoined in 2015.

Despite her departure, the Watch What Happens Live host has hope she will return to the reality TV extravaganza.

“I will hopefully live in the gratitude of her third return, because we are much like the mob — you can’t get out… I do hope and think that she will come back sometime… Who knows? She now, she’s so still a part of everything that’s still going on that you almost could see her dropping in and it’s like, ‘Oh my god. Okay! Bethenny’s at a party! Bethenny’s on this trip!’ You never know… I look forward to her in any capacity on the show and I’m just grateful that she was back.’”

Per Variety, the 48-year-old recently took meetings at different networks to discuss producing new shows. (In March, she signed a deal with MGM Television and Mark Burnett where she will develop unscripted projects.)

She also told the publication:

“I have decided to leave the Housewives franchise to explore my next chapter. It’s time to move on and focus on my daughter , my philanthropy and my production partnership with Mark Burnett, producing and starring in shows which represent a shift in the conversation for women. With the changes in modern culture, I want to highlight the strength, confidence and unstoppable power that women have. My experience at Bravo has been an incredibly magical ride. I am so grateful to them for highlighting my entrepreneurialism and allowing me to pave the way for many women to achieve their goals. I am excited for my future. The best is yet to come.”

In August, an Us Weekly insider claimed the Skating with the Stars alum “wants to focus on being a mom to Bryn,” and has “also got other business things going on and doesn’t need the RHONY paycheck.”

We’re going to miss you, Bethenny!
