Alicia Keys and a group of musicians, artists and celebrities including, Jon Bernthal, Maggie Gyllenhaal, R.E.M.‘s Michael Stipe, Erykah Badu and Amanda Palmer are set to lead a protest against Judge Brett Kavanaugh‘s Supreme Court confirmation on Thursday, October 4, outside Supreme Court in Washington D.C.

“The Bravery Is Contagious” event will also feature Peter Sarsgaard, Esperanza Spalding, Marley Clements, Laurie David and Lyn Lear among others. The protest is being organized by Party Majority PAC.

“We anticipate a vote on the Senate floor to confirm Brett Kavanaugh as early as Friday,” the protest’s official website says. “It is critical we make our voices heard on the ground in Washington on Thursday.”

“If there was ever a moment when the voice of the people can come together in concert to change the fate of our nation, this is it. Arm in arm, organized and ready, every child, woman, and man, must take to the streets to protest this nomination. The legitimacy of the nation’s highest court is at stake as is the future of our country,” it adds.

The protest is in support of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and Deborah Ramirez, who have accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct.
