‘Alaskan Bush’ Returning For Season 9 & Will Cover Matt’s Rehab Journey

Alaskan Bush People is returning for another season and RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that troubled son Matt Brown’s rehab journey will be covered!

“Everyone is interested to see if he is able to overcome his addiction battle,” an insider said.

On Sunday’s season 8 finale, the 36-year-old son of Billy, 65, and cancer-stricken mother Ami Brown, 54, was clearly distressed and was seeking solitude.

According to a source, however, Matt had already relapsed when the footage for the finale was shot.

This is not the first time that Matt has suffered a breakdown over his addictions and mental health battle.

In 2016, Matt checked into treatment after being arrested for DUI in Juneau, Alaska.

He remained on the straight and narrow until last year, when he started drinking again to cope with his mother, Ami, being diagnosed with terminal cancer.

In an interview with People magazine, Ami — who has overcome her deadly battle with Cancer, yet still must go for routine checkups every three months — said, “It’s hard not having one of my babies here with us. He was so strong for me, and I want to be strong for him.”
