Adele Says Her Plans for Next Year Include Another Baby

Adele has big plans for her next hiatus.

The superstar swung by The Graham Norton Show Friday, days after her glamorous appearance at the 2022 BRIT Awards. During her interview, for which she wore a gray Fendi pantsuit, the “I Drink Wine” singer addressed the postponement of her Vegas residency and revealed the reason why she’s planning the new dates for this year.

When asked about the delayed concert dates, the 30 singer shared that she “tried my hardest” to pull the show together in time, mentioning delays in materials and having less manpower due to the pandemic.

“It would have been a really half-arsed show and I can’t do that,” she said. “People will see straight through me up on the stage… I’ve never done anything like that in my life and I’m not going to start now.”

“We are now working our arses off, but I don’t want to announce a new set of dates until I know everything will definitely be ready,” she added.

The “Easy On Me” singer also revealed that the concerts are “absolutely happening” this year, before revealing, “I want a baby next year.” She already shares her 9-year-old son Angelo with her ex-husband, entreprenur Simon Konecki.

“I have plans next year. Imagine if I have to cancel because I am having a baby!” she added.

Adele also mentioned that she has been making a “conscious effort to stop being so anal with my privacy” lately, sharing that she typically uses her time between albums to recharge, and that she would like to expand her family.

“I will be disappearing in terms of my music, but you might see a glimpse of me now and then and I won’t be in complete hiding,” she said. “It takes me a while to recharge, and I would like to have more children – I only just feel like I’ve caught up with my sleep from nine years ago when I had my son.”

Host Graham Norton also brought up the engagement rumors that have been swirling since Adele wore a massive diamond on her ring finger at the awards ceremony. Though she was still wearing the ring, she refused to answer whether or not she and her boyfriend, sports agent Rich Paul, have taken their relationship to the next level.

“As if I would ever tell anyone if I was or wasn’t,” she said. When Norton mentioned that it looks like she’s engaged, she responded with a coy, “Alright.”
