Adam Sandler sports a black eye on GMA… as actor reveals he had a cell phone mishap: ‘There’s nothing cool about this’
Adam Sandler appeared on Good Morning America to discuss his film Hustle.
However, the actor first had to explain to the GMA hosts why he was sporting a large black eye for his TV appearance.
Adam, 55, revealed that he had a cell phone mishap in bed, causing him to have the visible bruise.

He appeared on Good Morning America on Monday sporting the shiner, to which host Michael Strahan asked him what happened.
Adam explained it to the hosts: ‘This is something I have to discuss right? I was in bed, middle of the night, you know how they tuck in your sheets, somebody tucked in the sheets too much.’
Adding: ‘I had my phone in the middle of the bed. I kick my feet up, untuck it. The phone went flying and it hit me in the head. I refuse to acknowledge it. I felt blood. I said something’s going on but I got to sleep. Kept sleeping. Woke up and then I said…’

Adam joked: ‘There’s nothing cool about this. It looks so cool. When I’m on the streets of New York, I see people going oh Ok. He likes to fight, that guy. And I’m like, it was a bed accident.’
The movie star sported an accidental black eye back in 2015 while a guest on Jimmy Kimmel’s special NBA Finals show and also in 2014 during his appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, according to Page Six.

He revealed to Kimmel he got it playing basketball; during his appearance on Fallon, he joked that his 50 First Dates co-star Drew Barrymore’s unborn baby at the time gave it to him.
Adam then spoke about his project Hustle during his GMA appearance, which is a basketball focused movie.
The star, who played basketball when he was younger, stars as a basketball scout named Stanley Sugarman in the film.

Adam also serves as the producer, alongside professional basketball star Lebron James.
Queen Latifah plays his wife Teresa Sugarman, with Ben Foster, Robert Duvall, Juancho Hernangomez and Anthony Edwards also featured in the project.
Hustle was released to theaters on June 3 and is set to release on Netflix on Wednesday, June 8.
Following his appearance, Adam was seen leaving the GMA studios, and cut a casual figure in sweats, a polo and sneakers while holding a coffee.
