Adam Levine’s ‘Voice’ departure is ‘good news for me,’ says wife Behati Prinsloo

There’s at least one person happy to see Adam Levine leave “The Voice.”

Levine’s model wife Behati Prinsloo finally shared her reaction to Levine’s departure from the singing competition, and let’s just say, she’s anything but somber.

“Good news for me, good news for the kids,” she said on the “Today” show Wednesday.

Prinsloo said the couple are looking forward to enjoying some downtime together. “He is on tour at the moment. He is excited to get home and for the first time have nothing to do,” she said.

The Victoria’s Secret model joked, “I’m like, ‘What am I going to do with him?'”

Prinsloo, 31, and Levine, 40, who tied the knot in July 2014, share two daughters – Dusty Rose, 2, and Gio Grace, 1.

“Voice” host Carson Daly revealed last month on “Today” that the Maroon 5 front man, a coach since the show’s 2011 debut, is departing after 16 seasons.

Daly said Levine would be replaced by Blake Shelton’s girlfriend Gwen Stefani, who served as a coach in Seasons 7, 9 and 12.

In an NSFW Instagram post, Levine reflected on the beginning of his journey with the show.

“About 8 years ago, Mark Burnett convinced us to sign up for this show where you sit in a big red chair with your back turned away from the singers on the stage,” Levine captioned a 2012 Rolling Stone cover featuring the original coaches: himself, Shelton, CeeLo Green and Christina Aguilera. “We had no idea what we were doing or where it was going. After the first day of shooting, I sat there, stunned. I said to myself ‘theres some magic here. Something is definitely happening.'”
