A third Ace Ventura movie is in development.
Morgan Creek – the company behind the first two movies, which featured Jim Carrey as the titular pet detective and Courteney Cox as his love interest – has revealed that it is working on a new movie in the franchise.
‘We’re pretty excited about our franchise developments with Exorcist and the Ace Ventura franchise,’ the company shared this week.

The spokesperson added that it is noticeable from the three million fans chatting on the official Facebook page for Ace Ventura that audiences are clamoring for a third installment.
‘During COVID, audiences have been in love and are thrilled to have beloved characters brought back with new stories,’ it was added.
‘Ace Ventura will see a new day at Amazon as a major motion picture/theatrical with the Sonic the Hedgehog writers.’

Ace Ventura: Pet Detective is a 1994 American comedy film starring Jim Carrey as Ace Ventura.
He is an animal detective who is has to find the abducted dolphin mascot of the Miami Dolphins football team.
The film was directed by Tom Shadyac, who wrote the screenplay with Jack Bernstein and Carrey.

Meanwhile, Cox is preparing for a Friends reunion with Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry.
