Abbie Chatfield and Robert ‘Dipper’ DiPierdomenico had a tense confrontation on Wednesday’s episode of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

After making repeated comments about her skimpy bikini, a fed-up Abbie, 25, finally confronted the retired Australian rules footballer.

And fans were quick to rally around the former Bachelor star, praising her on Twitter for speaking up.

‘Abbie should’ve eaten her whole meal, wearing a bikini and shaking her a**, to just p**s him off more,’ commented one viewer.   

Added another fan: ‘Thank you Abbie for not accepting a “generation gap” as an excuse to be sexist just because you’re old doesn’t mean you get a free misogyny pass’.

Others praised her as a ‘hero’, ‘great role model’ and said they were ‘loving Abbie more as time goes by’.

After walking through the campsite in a bikini, Dipper commented: ‘How do you walk around like that? How can you walk around like that? We should do a G-banger day.’

Despite insisting she was wearing her ‘most conservative togs’, Dipper wouldn’t back down, and joked: ‘You’re not going out like that.’

A frustrated Abbie then turned and asked him what he meant by the remark, with the 62-year-old explaining he was simply looking out for Abbie in a fatherly way.  

‘That’s been said to me like five times in here, and it’s not that it affects me, not that I’m thinking like, “Oh, I should cover up,” it’s just, like, I don’t want that idea to be pushed. It’s just not okay,’ she said.

‘I don’t want young girls or young women to hear that being said and think it’s normal and don’t feel like they can stick up for themselves.’
