A Taylor Swift x Starbucks Collab May Be Brewing… Here's What We Know

You always think you’re ready for a Taylor Swift drop… until it’s happening at Starbucks. That’s right — T Swift may be collaborating with the coffee retailer on something special just in time for Red (Taylor’s Version), which will hit music streaming services on Friday, November 12.

A partnership hasn’t been officially announced just yet, but in true Swiftie fashion, fans have been on the case and noticed a few Easter eggs on Taylor and Starbucks’ social media posts. Ahead, find everything we know about the possible collaboration so far.

Fans found the first clue in Taylor’s “Fall Things” TikTok that she posted on October 26, which Starbucks also reposted the video to their Twitter feed.

Taylor took to TikTok to recreate her own Tumblr post about loving this time of year and in the clip, she sipped a Starbucks latte with the logo clearly showing. Celebrities don’t usually show off company logos without a price or other motive, so in this case, it seems like something may be brewing between Tay and the coffee retailer.

Since then, Starbucks has also been having a bit of fun on Twitter. A few days after reposting Taylor’s TikTok, they tweeted “It’s Red Season” with a series of emojis that Swifties would know all too well.

It’s Red Season. ☕️✨🧣❤️

Fans even weighed in under the post with their theories, to which Starbucks replied.

Here’s to throwing your head back laughing like a little kid. ☕️

We know all too well how exciting this time of year is, and we’ll forever & always love it: Our red holiday cups and drinks are back! https://t.co/3nzlWsMFJg

I mean, Starbucks even fed into a joke about the misheard lyrics of Taylor’s 2014 hit, “Blank Space,” and referenced a meme from her Lover era. After the release of “ME!” in 2019, a fan created a fake Starbucks flyer promoting the single that claimed to give free drinks if people streamed the song. When Starbucks responded to this back then, the fan retorted, “Did I ask? Mind your own business.” All I’m saying is… Starbucks’ social media coordinator deserves a raise for this top-tier Taylor content.

That would be a long list…

Did we ask? We’re just over here minding our own business. 😉

On top of the social media banter, People reported that a Taylor fan page called The Swift Society posted information from a newsletter that is sent to Starbucks employees. According to the post, Starbucks will start serving Taylor’s drink of choice — a grande caramel non-fat latte — starting Friday, November 12.

And, if you needed some sort of proof that this may actually be happening, Starbucks changed their Twitter bio to “On a Friday, in a café… 🧣❤️.” Not only does it have a scarf emoji, but it reference’s Taylor’s lyrics from “Begin Again,” a song off of Red.

Here’s to hoping the theories are true because I live two steps away from a Starbucks and I’m already putting in my order. Happy Red season!
