Cardi B is offering up yet another major beauty moment with the premiere of her music video for “Hot Sh*t.” The rapper was seen in quite a few head-turning looks including a sleek, jet-black middle-part hairstyle and Pamela Anderson-style bleached blond waves. But the star of the show? The crystal eye makeup and matching crystal nails that she wore, of course.
About 50 seconds into the video, viewers are given a full view of the snow queen moment which included an icy-white platinum hair color — styled into a loose updo with a few face-framing curls on each side of her face — small crystals along the tail of her eyebrows, a full crystal negative-space graphic eyeliner, and extra long crystal nails blinged out with various sizes of the stone. All of these details, of course, meshed perfectly with her matching diamond rings, bracelets, and necklaces.
According to Pinterest Predicts’ 2022 report, crystal eye makeup has been expected to trend in a major way throughout the year. Thanks to shows like “Euphoria” and the return of Y2K beauty aesthetic, the popularity of crystal accented makeup has skyrocketed, and the gems are now a normal part of many makeup routines. Tying the trend into another 2022 trend prediction — the extreme maximalist nail — was an absolute recipe for success.
