Attention, Beauty Shoppers: Dermablend Professional Is Now PETA-Certified

If you’re someone who looks for the little pink bunny symbol on packaging to signify cruelty-free brands when you shop for beauty products, get ready to enjoy Dermablend Professional that much more. As of this month, the brand just announced that it official received the cruelty-free certification from PETA and it’s acceptance into the Beauty Without Bunnies program.

Although this is certainly big news for the brand, Dermablend has always operated under cruelty-free standards, so this certification comes as more of a reinforcement of its best practices.

What Malena Higuera, general manager for the company, hopes shoppers will gain from this marker is confidence in knowing they’re making the best decision — both product and ethics-wise — for their beauty routines. “Dermablend Professional doesn’t test our products on animals, nor have we ever asked anyone to test on our behalf,” explained Higuera. “But by working with PETA, it allows us and brings us that validation of our efforts and commitment to animal welfare.”

What’s more, Dermablend has undergone a few product reformulations to also qualify as vegan. “Fortunately, most of our portfolio was already vegan-friendly, but we wanted to really bring the assurance that we were manufacturing 100 percent vegan-friendly products.”

As soon as this month, you’ll be able to spot PETA’s leaping bunny symbol on Dermablend’s packaging, making it all the more easy to shop for responsible products.
