Liverpool vs Fulham betting preview
Once again this season, Liverpool have been rock solid at Anfield.
It’s six wins out of six in the Premier League with a league-low two home goals conceded. Throw in the other competitions and it’s a perfect 10 on their own turf.
They’ve scored multiple goals in all of those matches with only Everton and Union Saint-Gilloise denying them a third goal.
With a forward line including Mo Salah and Darwin Nunez, it’s no surprise there are goals in this team, and while Diogo Jota is now lost to injury, having Luis Diaz or Cody Gakpo ready to come in is somewhat handy for Jurgen Klopp.
And it’s not like such stunning home form is anything new.
Liverpool – like most teams – famously crumbled for a while at home during the fanless 2020/21 campaign but since then they’ve lost only one Premier League game on this ground.
It’s hard to make much of a case for Fulham breaching the considerable defences.
They’ve won just once away this season and that was basically down to some terrible finishing from Everton on the opening day.
The Cottagers do at least come into this one with confidence restored by a 3-2 home win over Wolves on Monday, although again there was some good fortune involved there.
They welcome back Joao Palhinha here, which is a major boost, but they’ve largely struggled for goals since the sale of Aleksandar Mitrovic in the summer – only the three newly-promoted sides have a lower tally than their 13.
Short odds about a home win look fully justified but there is a way of getting the hosts onside at a decent price – read on to check out our best bet for the Anfield showdown.
Liverpool vs Fulham key stats
- Liverpool have won six out of six at Anfield in this season’s Premier League and have now lost only once at home in the competition since March 2021.
- Liverpool have had the most shots of any team in the Premier League this season, with Darwin Nunez and Mo Salah second and fourth on the individual player list respectively.
- Fulham haven’t won away form home since a fortuitous 1-0 victory at Everton on the opening day.
- Liverpool have lost Diogo Jota to injury this week so Luis Diaz is expected to come into the starting XI after an impressive display against LASK in midweek. Keeper Alisson missed that game through injury and Caoimhin Kelleher will continue between the sticks.
- Joao Palhinha back from suspension which is good news for Fulham – they’ve lost five of the seven he hasn’t started since his arrival in the summer of 2022. Tosin Adarabioyo is fit again and is a contender to come into the backline.
Liverpool vs Fulham best bets

Liverpool/Liverpool HT/FT (Spreadex)
Liverpool have now landed this bet in seven of their last 10 Premier League games at Anfield, where they have a 100% record so far this season.
Just three of Fulham’s 13 goals have come in the first half, while only Everton have got to half time without conceding on thus ground in 2023/24.
In short, this looks a good way of getting some value out of a home side who are going off at a very short price in the match-result market.
⚽ Back Liverpool/Liverpool HT/FT at 4/5 at Spreadex ⚽
Luis Diaz anytime scorer (bet365)
With his father being kidnapped and finally released, it must have been an awful period for Diaz off the pitch.
But the whole situation seems to brought out the best of him on the field with two goals scored for Colombia as they beat Brazil last month, while Diaz also netted a crucial goal at Luton before delivering a fine display against LASK in the week.
He’s set to replace Diogo Jota in the PL line-up here and while fellow forwards Mo Salah and Darwin Nunez are both odds on to score, Diaz is on offer at almost twice the price and looks very backable.
⚽ Bet on Diaz to score at any time at 7/4 at bet365 ⚽
Antonee Robinson to be carded (Sky Bet)
Robinson has now been booked in three of his last four games and he’s been the punter’s friend in the fouls market for some time.
Here he’s going up against Mo Salah so looks in for a tough afternoon.
If you take out Darren England, who has only taken charge of two games, we’ve also got the league’s strictest referee this season in card terms – Stuart Attwell is averaging over 5.5 per game so far.
⚽ Back Robinson to be shown a card at 4/1 at Sky Bet ⚽
