A NEW holiday park could soon open on a former oil depot in Scotland.
Ardrossan Eco Village Park has submitted plans for a brand new resort on the former Montfode Oil Storage Depot.
Across the 27-acre site would be 228 static caravans for holidaymakers to stay overnight.
Each multicoloured caravan would be around 12m, with two bedrooms, lounging area and bathroom as well as a terrace.
A 2,100msq clubhouse would also include a restaurant. bar and lounge area, along with a hair and beauty salon.
And activities would include bowling, soft play and pony trekking, as well as a huge swimming pool.

Outside would feature a bowling green and miniature golf, while the nearby road would be upgraded.
The application states: "[The holiday homes] will be further furnished by the creation of a central hub for residents, including leisure amenities, opportunities for indoor and outdoor recreation, sport, bar and restaurant facilities.
“A network of footpaths within the site will provide and encourage pedestrian connectivity.
“The development has been designed to prioritise an open and attractive green environment and landscaped setting for residing to avoid over development and cramming.”
