Donna-Marie Quinn’s (Lucy-Jo Hudson) future in Hollyoaks’ eponymous village is called into question next week as Leela Lomax (Kirsty Leigh Porter) desperately tries to help her.
The grieving mum, as viewers know, has relapsed time and again since the death of her beloved daughter Juliet Nightingale (Niamh Blackshaw), with James (Gregory Finnegan) disowning her and kicking her out.
Leela, having promised Juliet to look after Donna-Marie, has very much honoured that promise in the weeks since, going out of her way to help her friend get clean, taking her in to live with her.
Joel Dexter (Rory Douglas-Speed), however, urged Leela to kick Donna-Marie out, with Leela subsequently agreeing to do so, before reconsidering- urging her business partner to stay in the gym, where she locked her in to go cold turkey.
Upcoming scenes will see Ethan Williams (Matthew James Bailey) and Dilly Harcourt (Emma Johnsey-Smith) stumble upon a worse-for-wear Donna-Marie, who asks them for some money – before throwing up all over them!
Leela, meanwhile, reiterates that she’s got no intention of giving up on Donna-Marie, who isn’t sure if she can get better, as the grief of losing her daughter continues to overwhelm her.
Trying tough love, Leela gives Donna-Marie some home truths but when that plan fails, she instead orders her friend to leave the village!
Will Donna-Marie do as she’s told? Will she up sticks and leave the village? What’s more, will Leela stand by such an order?

Or is this simply a scare tactic in the hopes that it will help encourage Donna-Marie to get the help she needs?
That remains to be seen, but subsequent scenes see Donna-Marie finally open up as she discusses the pain of losing Juliet with Leela, who is left somewhat hopeful after the conversation.
But will Donna-Marie seek help?
