Nadia Swahala would return to EastEnders on one condition
EastEnders’ Ben Mitchell (played by Max Bowden) isn’t one to make his feelings known and will often suffer in silence, which he has been doing with his bulimia struggle but will soon have someone to confide in.
Ben began restricting his food intake and exercising excessively earlier this year as he struggled to cope with the trauma he had experienced.
Instead of speaking to his family or boyfriend Callum Highway (Tony Clay), Ben has been trying to deal with his bulimia solo.
Official spoilers reveal that whilst in the Vic, Callum and Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) make flippant remarks about Ben’s loss of appetite.
They’re unaware of this secret battle with bulimia, with no understanding of how their jokes will affect Ben later.

However, looking noticeably unconformable with their remarks, Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton) picks up on his discomfort around food.
Will she be able to get him to reveal the truth about his illness? If he does manage to open up to Honey, could this be the road to recovery for Ben?
His struggle began when Lola Pearce (Danielle Harold) was diagnosed with a brain tumour and desperately fought to find ways to prolong her life and support their daughter Lexi (Isabella Brown).
During this time, he was approached by a police officer who revealed that Lewis Butler (Aidan O’Callaghan) had been arrested for raping another man.

Lewis had raped Ben the year before, but was never charged with the offence which left Ben devastated.
With so much pressure piling on top of him, Ben’s bulimia developed but hopefully has found the right source in Honey.
Honey has experienced her own battle with bulimia in 2019 and would be the perfect person to help Ben with his recovery.
She revealed the truth about her illness to Ash Panesar (Gurlaine Kaur Garcha) during the Walford wife swap, and explained how she had had a similar experience as a teenager.
