Ronan Keating has performed a heartfelt musical tribute to his older brother Ciaran at his funeral mass in Ireland.
Ciaran, aged in his 50s, was tragically killed in a car crash on Saturday, 15 July.
At the funeral, held in Co Mayo, Ronan sang This Is Your Song towards the end of an emotional service.
Lyrics included: “You were our friend, walk with you till the end, and one day we’ll all sing along, ’cause this is your song.”
The former Boyzone singer said the song was written after their mother, Marie, died in 1998.
“I shouldn’t be singing it in these circumstances but we are and we will,” he said. He added that Ciaran’s children had made their dad “very proud”.
Ronan, wearing dark glasses, had earlier carried Ciaran's coffin through the street along with a number of other pallbearers, for the service at St Patrick's Church in Louisburgh.
Other mourners seen attending alongside Ciaran's friends and family have included members of Cork City FC, which Ciaran’s son Ruairi plays for, as well as representatives of the Marie Keating Foundation cancer charity.
It is understood the Ciaran's wife Ann Marie was also injured in the two-car smash at the weekend. The fatal crash happened on the N5 at Ballymiles, near Swinford.
The driver of the other vehicle was seriously injured and was taken to Mayo University Hospital.
A man and woman, both passengers from each car, also received treatment.
Ciaran and Ann Marie had been travelling to watch their son, Ruairi, play for Cork City FC, when they became involved in the crash in a locally-known accident black-spot.
Ronan had 'dropped everything' to rush home to his native Ireland when he heard the news.
A source close to the former boybander told The Sun : "It’s the phone call no one wants to take about their loved ones. Ronan dropped everything as soon as he heard the devastating news.
"He is trying to stay strong for the sake of the family and is doing everything he can to support his sister-in-law and his nephews."
They added: "Ronan is just absolutely devastated. He lives for his family. This is a cruel bolt from the blue."
Ronan was supported by Boyzone band mate Keith Duffy as well as celebrity friends, following the accident.
Keith paid tribute to Ciaran on Instagram last weekend, saying: “I can’t comprehend the loss and devastation of my brother @rokeating and all the Keating family. All my family are praying and thinking of our Keating family right now."
