Tina Turner has sadly passed away aged 83.
The news was confirmed in a statement posted on the What's Love Got To Do With It singer's Facebook page on Wednesday (May 25).
It read: "It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tina Turner.

"With her music and her boundless passion for life, she enchanted millions of fans around the world and inspired the stars of tomorrow.
"Today we say goodbye to a dear friend who leaves us all her greatest work: her music.
"All our heartfelt compassion goes out to her family. Tina, we will miss you dearly."
The late music legend's account is currently followed by an 1.1million fans on Instagram.
However, the profile is only following back just six users.
The official Instagram account for Tina Turner follows singer Cheryl, pop sensation Beyoncé, artist Adrienne Warren, Tina The Musical, Rhino Records and band Parlophone.
Tina shared an Instagram post about her kidney failure two months before her untimely death.
She opened up about her health struggles on International World Kidney Day on March 9, revealing she put herself in "grave danger" by not taking her 1978 hypertension diagnosis seriously.
The Proud Mary hitmaker wrote: "'My kidneys are victims of my not realising that my high blood pressure should have been treated with conventional medicine.
"I have put myself in great danger by refusing to face the reality that I need daily, lifelong therapy with medication."
The showbiz world has been rocked by the news of Tina's passing and celebrities from across the globe have paid their respects to the icon.
Sir Mick Jagger, who duetted with Tina Turner during Live Aid in 1985, wrote on Instagram: "I'm so saddened by the passing of my wonderful friend Tina Turner. She was truly an enormously talented performer and singer."

Angela Bassett, who received an Oscar nomination for playing the singer in What’s Love Got to Do With It, shared a statement with the Hollywood Reporter, saying: "I am honoured to have known Tina Turner.
"I am humbled to have helped show her to the world. So on today, while we mourn the loss of this iconic voice and presence, she gave us more than we could have ever asked. She gave us her whole self. And Tina Turner is a gift that will always be 'simply the best', Angels, sing thee to thy rest … Queen."
Sir Elton John said Tima was a "total legend on record and on stage" in a tribute to the singer following "the saddest news".
