Walter Pintus, a world class mixologist who is working with gin brand Caorunn, has crafted two unique gin cocktails to, quite literally, mix things up a bit.
From tropical flavours to sour notes, these are two of the best drinks for gin lovers who are over plain old G&Ts.
The Kentish Spritzer
‘This summer cocktail uses foraged and preserved gooseberry to create a bright spritzer style drink,’ says Walter.
The preserved gooseberry makes for a very tropical-tasting drink – perfect for pretending summer isn’t coming to an end.
Ingredients:
- 30ml gin
- 30ml Gooseberry syrup
- Blanc De Blanc sparkling wine, to top up
- Gooseberries to garnish

According to Walter, this is an ‘elegant gin sour with vibrant notes of fennel, tempered with a delicate yet creamy raspberry texture.’
Sounds fancy, eh?
Ingredients:
- 45ml blood orange gin
- 2 teaspoon fennel seeds
- 5 fresh raspberries
- 20ml lemon juice
- 15ml sugar syrup
- 20ml egg white (aquafaba as vegan substitute)
- Raspberry powder to garnish
