Burnley transfer news: Bristol City ace Joe Bryan targeted in £6million deal this summer as Clarets prepare for Europa League

BURNLEY are prepared to pay £6million for Bristol City left-back Joe Bryan, according to reports.

The Telegraph claim Sean Dyche is set to move for Bryan, 24, as he prepares to bolster his squad for the Europa League.

Bryan's versatility is seen as a huge plus as he can play at both full-back and in midfield.

Burnley will have money to spend this summer with European football almost guaranteed next season.

Bristol City are reluctant to let the player go but admit it will be difficult to keep him.

Boss Lee Johnson said: "No player is bigger than the club.

"I think potentially it could be a difficult summer. It could be a very difficult summer.

"We have to make some really strong decisions."

Burnley play Arsenal on Sunday and finish the season at Bournemouth the following week.

Clarets keeper Nick Pope said: "We’ve got to go in to the next game with the same attitude and get it over the line for sure but we’re in a great position.
