Jason Momoa gives first look at new 'stealth suit' for Aquaman sequel

Jason Momoa teases fans with first look at new dark blue ‘stealth suit’ for Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom: ‘New suit. More action’

Aquaman is getting a makeover of sorts for the much-anticipated sequel that’s slated to hit theaters late next year.

On Sunday, Leading man Jason Momoa unveiled the superhero’s new suit for the upcoming follow-up – Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom.

And the leading man showed a bit of dramatic flare in the unveiling by first showing his Arthur Curry character in the green and orange costume that he wore in the blockbuster 2018 film, which was a throwback to the original comic book.

A second photo shows Momoa striking an impressive pose in the new dark blue costume that has accents of grey chrome.

Jason Momoa took to Instagram on Sunday and unveiled the new suit Arthur Curry will be sporting in much-anticipated, Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom

Those chrome accents can be seen along the arms, top of the shoulder, hips, boots and belt.

‘Second round. New suit. More action. #aquaman Aloha j,’ the alway exuberant Momoa shared in the caption of the post.

Director James Wan also posted the two new photos on his Instagram page, along with some details on the origins of the so-called stealth suit.

‘Here’s @prideofgypsies in the classic #Aquaman suit AND a sneak peek at his other outfit — the stealth suit. Atlantean tech based on cephalopod’s camouflaging ability. David Leslie Johnson and I were inspired by the 80’s “blue suit”,’ he shared in the caption.

Bold words: Along with a ‘new suit’, Momoa declared there will be ‘more action’ in the sequel

Striking differences: The new suit is dark blue with accents of grey chrome along the arms, top of the shoulder, hips, boots and belt

The director of both Aquaman films, James Wan, also shared the two images on Instagram, along with some of the details of the origin of the so-called stealth suit

From the sounds of Wan’s comment, it appears as though Arthur Curry will wear both the original orange and green outfit and new dark blue outfit for the Aquaman sequel.

Along with the new suit, Aquaman will also be sporting newly dyed blonde locks for his next adventure.

‘This is the last day of the brown. I’m gonna be a blonde,’ he announced in an Instagram video just before shooting for the film began in London, England in mid-July.

‘They supposedly have more fun. I don’t know about that, we’ll test it out.’

Hitting it hard! Along with the new suit, Aquaman will also be sporting newly dyed blonde locks for his next adventure; as seen in a Instagram video in late Agust showing the leading man in the middle of his boxing training for the sequel

Since then, the Hawaiian native has seen sporting his blonde tresses in his social media posts, including in late August, when shared a video showing himself in the middle of his boxing training for Aquaman 2.

The original 2018 film set a high bar for the sequel, earning a staggering $1.148 billion dollars at the worldwide box office; making it the highest-grossing installment in the DC Extended Universe and the highest-grossing film based on any DC character.

Along With Momoa, the second installment also includes the return of stars Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Temuera Morrison.
