THE Sandman have announced a star-studded cast for the upcoming drama.
It was based on the 1989–1996 comic book written by Neil Gaiman.

Who is in the cast of The Sandman on Netflix?
Tom Sturridge as Dream
Tom Sturridge, 35, will play the lead of Dream, one of the seven Endless, inconceivably powerful beings older and greater than the gods.
The actor is best known for his work in Being Julia, Like Minds, and The Boat That Rocked.
In 2013, he was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play for his performance in the Broadway play Orphans.
Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer
Gwendoline is playing Lucifer—the Biblical fallen angel and devil of Christianity—and is one of the most powerful beings in the DC Universe.
The 42-year-old is best known for portraying Brienne of Tarth in the fantasy-drama Game of Thrones.
In 2019, she received a nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her work on the HBO show.
Boyd Holbrook as the Corinthian
The American will play Corinthian, who is is a nightmare created by Dream, who later destroys him for going rogue and failing to fulfill his original design.
Dream creates Corithian again with "some changes", though the exact nature of these changes are not clear.
He has appeared in films such as Run All Night, A Walk Among the Tombstones and Gone Girl, and starred as DEA agent Steve Murphy in popular Netflix series Narcos.
Charles Dance as Roderick Burgess
The Lord Magus of The Order of the Ancient Mysteries Roderick Burgess will be played by iconic star Charles Dance, 74.
One of his highest-profile roles are Tywin Lannister in HBO's Game of Thrones (2011–2015).
His most recent work includes him playing Lord Mountbatten in the third and fourth seasons of The Crown.
Sanjeev Bhaskar as Cain
Cain, based on the biblical Cain while being a different character at the same time and is accompanied by his pet gargoyle, Gregory.
The man that will bring he character to life, Sanjeev, 57, is best known for his work in the BBC Two sketch comedy series Goodness Gracious Me and star of the sitcom The Kumars at No. 42.
Bhaskar is currently the Chancellor of the University of Sussex and was honoured with an OBE in 2006.
Asim Chaudhry as Abel
Asim Chaudhry will play Abel, the brother of Cain.
The actor and comedian is best known for playing Chabuddy G in the BBC mockumentary series he co-created, People Just Do Nothing.
As a result of his hard work on the show, he won a Royal Television Society Award and was nominated for two BAFTA TV Awards.
Vivienne Acheampong as Lucienne
Vivienne will be playing Lucienne, the chief librarian and trusted guardian of Dream’s realm.
Acheampong is perhaps best know for starring in sitcom Famalam for two years.
She has also featured in shows such as Doctors, Turn Up Charlie, Death in Paradise and Holby City, as well as the Emily Atack Show.

What is The Sandman about?
The Sandman Netflix series is based on the 1989–1996 comic book written by Neil Gaiman and published by DC Comics.
In 1916, Dream, the king of stories and one of the seven Endless, is captured in an occult ritual.
After being held captive for 105 years, in 2021 he escapes and endeavours to restore order to his kingdom of the Dreaming.
