NeNe Leakes Isn't Returning to 'RHOA' After "Emotional" Contract Negotiations

After several months of speculation, NeNe Leakes has confirmed that she won’t be retuning to The Real Housewives of Atlanta. NeNe said she made the decision after an “extremely long, exhausting, tiring, emotional” negotiation with Bravo with a “a lot of emotion flying from both sides”—but it looks like she’s exiting on a positive note with the network:

“I’m just so happy that I can say that I was a part of a genre that opened up doors for Black ensemble reality shows to step up and be a part of what we all now love so much, reality TV,” she said. “I want to thank everybody that has looked up to me over the years. Thank you so much for you love and your support. I want to thank Bravo TV. Thank you Bravo for all the memories, the laughs, the tears.”

Andy Cohen responded to the news with a sweet message to NeNe, writing “Through her whole run, she has always had a serious concern and drive to maintain the success and well-being of #RHOA. I am going to miss Nene on the show, but I’m hoping we work together again soon and will remain in each other’s orbits forever.”

Meanwhile, Bravo implied that NeNe could come back to the show in the future, saying in a statement, “She’s been instrumental since the start and will truly be missed, and maybe one day she’ll hold the peach again.”

Welp, RHOA simply won’t be the same.
