Selling Sunset's Jason Oppenheim says he wouldn't have signed up for the show if he knew it'd be about his personal life.
Jason revealed that he is still getting used to being the centre of attention in a TV show.
Posing for a photoshoot alongside co-star Amanza Smith, he said he now realises that if the show was purely about property, it would never have been as popular as it has become.
"I've come to accept the idea that I'm on more of a reality show than a real-estate show," he said.
Selling Sunset, which has recently released its third season on Netflix, stars twins Jason and Brett Oppenheim, and a number of highly attractive real estate experts.
The twins are in charge of the The Oppenheim Group, a professional real estate brokerage serving buyers and sellers of luxury property in Los Angeles.
They trained as lawyers before they went into the real estate business.
Both brothers are highly successful at what they do: last year Jason sold a mansion for $40 million.
Jason is also known as one of LA's most eligible bachelors.
The 43-year-old millionaire admits he's picky when it comes to women, and doesn't feel pressure to find a long-term partner, telling The Sun recently that he's "happily single" since finding fame on the show.
Jason isn't short of female attention, however, as he regularly socialises with colleagues including Chrishell Stause, Heather Rae Young, long-time friend Amanza, and ex-girlfriends Nicole and Mary Fitzgerald.
Mary also works for the Oppenheim Group, and the other real estate agents express concern in season 3 that Jason had been showing favouritism towards her.
The constant bitching and backstabbing between the sexy cast has left some cast members wondering if the show is scripted – an idea Jason has always been quick to dismiss.
Season three of the show has been a huge hit during lockdown, leading to hopes among fans that it will be commissioned for a fourth outing.
