Amber Heard 'screamed "If he hits me one more time, I'm calling the police" after Johnny Depp grabbed her hair'

AMBER Heard screamed "if he hits me one more time, I'm calling the police" after an alleged bust-up with Johnny Depp, the High Court was told today.

The 34-year-old claimed Depp, 57, pulled her hair during a row at their LA penthouse in May 2016.

The actor's security officer Sean Bett told the court he went into the couple's home in May 2016 after hearing the Aquaman actress shouting "at the top of her lungs".

He said: "When we entered, we saw Mr Depp standing approximately 20 feet away from Ms Heard, who was standing by the couch.

"As soon as Ms Heard noticed that we had entered the room, she looked very surprised; her demeanour then changed and she pointed at Mr Depp and screamed to us words to the effect of: 'If he hits me one more time, I am calling the police'."

However he claimed he could not see any injuries on the actress.

The High Court heard today:

  • Amber Heard screamed about being hit by Johnny Depp during an alleged incident at their LA home in 2016
  • Depp was filmed "agitated" in a lift after the alleged bust-up
  • Security guard Sean Bett said he saw Depp drinking glasses of wine after staying up all night
  • Mr Bett claimed Depp had been injured during a bust-up with Heard
  • Depp's former partners Vanessa Paradis and Winona Ryder are now no longer expected to give evidence

And he said he would see arguments between the couple, with Depp often asking him to drive Heard home because he would "feel bad" after the rows.

Mr Bett said on the drive home the actress would cry and say home much she loved Depp.

He said Heard had never told him that Depp had ever assaulted her but said he was not surprised given his professional relationship with the star.

Mr Bett said that Depp had told him Heard punched him after the star was late to his wife's 30th birthday party in April 2016.

The security guard took a photo of the injury, but said the wrong image had been mistakenly attached to his witness statement in a "serious error".

He said it was "similar" to the picture that he had taken but did not know where the original image was as he had changed phones since. However, he maintained that he did see Depp hurt after the party.

CHANGE OF PLAN

The trial had been expecting to hear evidence from Depp's ex Vanessa Paradis today but due to the case over-running its schedule she may not be called.

Yesterday, the trial had expected to hear from another of the actor's former partners, Winona Ryder, however it was again pushed back.

Both had previously provided witness statements saying that Depp had never been violent during their respective relationships.

Heard wore her signature red scarf for the day in court with her blonde hair down.

Depp also smiled as he headed inside in his trademark black scarf with a grey scarf.

Scandalous details of the couple's turbulent relationship have been revealed in the court case so far including allegations that Depp kicked and slapped Heard over three years during their relationship.

Yesterday, photographs were shown to the court of a kitchen left bloodied after one alleged attack in Australia that saw Depp's finger severed.

Shocking images were also shown to the respected court of excrement in a bed – allegedly left by Heard after a row that saw Depp call his wife "Amber Turd".

And diary entries of Heard were read to the court where the actress claimed Depp wrapped a shirt around her neck.

Pirates of the Caribbean actor Depp has denied the claims of violence against Heard and is suing The Sun for referring to him as a “wife beater” in a 2018 article.

The Sun, supported by Heard, says the term was justified.

It comes after the High Court was told this week:

  • Johnny Depp branded Amber Heard "f***ing scum" and threatened to "fix her flabby fat ass" in brutal text messages
  • The Pirates of the Caribbean star left notes for his then wife saying "let's not do this again" after furious bust-ups
  • Depp wrote out Amber Heard's name in urine
  • New pictures emerged showing the bloody kitchen where Johnny Depp sliced his finger off during a row in Australia

Depp is accused of attacking Heard 14 times over three years – starting in 2013 when she mocked his "Wino Forever" tattoo that had been changed from "Winona Forever".

Depp also allegedly turned his "rage and frustration" on Heard when he "failed to control" his drug and alcohol abuse.

The actor "descended into physically destructive behaviour" – causing him to refer to his "drunken and violent persona as 'the monster'", it was said.

The couple married in LA in 2015 after meeting on the set of comedy The Rum Diary.

But they divorced two years later after Heard, who donated her £5.5million settlement to charity, accused Depp of abuse.

The case continues.
