Food recall warnings are issued when a serious fault is found with a product. Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Aldi have recently issued warnings on a number of products sold in stores. This is the full list of items.

Asda

Bisto gravy powder

The gravy granules have been recalled as they contain milk not mentioned on the label.

The Food Standards Agency website said: “This product contains milk making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.”

The affected product has the lot number 0092 A5 and time codes between 22:41 and 22:47.

It is only sold in certain Asda stores in the North of England.

Tesco

Tesco Free From Beef Lasagne

One date code has been recalled due to allergy fears as it contains milk not mentioned on the label.

Packs that are 430 grams with the use by date of June 21, 2020 should be returned to stores.

Sainsbury’s

Fry’s Mushroom Country Style pie

The item was recalled as a packaging error made it unsuitable for those who have an intolerance to milk or who avoid eating meat.

The pie contains milk, chicken and ham that was not listed on the label.

The affected packs are 266 grams with the use by date of June 12, 2020.

Plant Pioneers Vegan Shroomballs

The FSA website said: “Sainsbury’s has taken the precautionary step of recalling Plant Pioneers Vegan Shroomballs because some packs may contain small pieces of white plastic.

“The possible presence of plastic makes this product unsafe to eat.”

Anyone who has a pack that is 240 grams with use by dates between June 3 and 6 should return the item to the shop.

Aldi

Savour Bakes Bread Sticks

Athenian Family Bakery is recalling Savour Bakes Bread Sticks that are sold in Aldi.

The products may contain small pieces of metal making them unsafe to eat.

Packs that are 125 grams with the batch codes 704888 and 49830 can be returned. All best before dates are affected.

Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons

Primula Cheese

Primula products have been recalled as they may contain the bacterium Clostridium botulinum.

“Primula Ltd is recalling all Primula Cheese tubes, (chilled and ambient) because the product might be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum due to a production fault,” the FSA website states.

“They have taken the precautionary step of recalling all products because one product might contain Clostridium botulinum.”

All flavours of 100 gram tubes are recalled with best before dates between October 30, 2020 and December 10, 2020.

All flavours of 150 gram tubes should also be returned if they have best before dates between December 25, 2020 and January 28, 2021.
