The X Factor champion, 32, took to Instagram to show off his newly cut hair, explaining that he’d invited a hairdresser over to his home – which is against the law currently.
James tagged the man responsible for the trim – known on Instagram as @pelle.barber – and thanked him for ‘coming over with his visor on’.

But the post was quickly removed, with James clearly realising that anyone visiting anyone else’s home, even wearing a visor, is breaking the restrictions.
Even if the cut took place in the garden, those from different households are meant to observe a two metre distance from one another under the UK’s lockdown, so as to halt the transmission of COVID-19.
James had also posted that this was his ‘first trim in 3 months since I shaved everything off’ in the now-deleted Instagram Story.
The crooner had previously admitted to piling on the pounds during lockdown, alleviating his boredom by eating cake.

The Falling Like The Stars crooner told The Sun: ‘I have put on a fair bit of weight since the beginning of the lockdown because there’s nothing else to do but stuff my face. I’ve got a sweet tooth so it’s just cake really. I love cake.
‘I’m pretty much a vegan so I’ve been having the fake meat — sausage sandwiches and stuff like that I’ve been digging into.’
He went on to explain: ‘I’ve set myself a goal to lose a bit of weight. It might sound extreme but I’m 6ft 3in and I weigh 17st so I’d like to drop a couple of stone if possible.
