Katie Price defends her ‘messy garden’ after she was shamed for her lawn and bins… amid claims she has turned over a new leaf after leaving her ‘mucky mansion’ and moving to Surrey

Katie Price has defended her ‘messy garden’ after critics claimed she had an overgrown lawn and overflowing bins at her new Surrey pad.

The former glamour model, 41, was devastated trolls attacked her efforts to keep her  rented home tidy after sharing her latest YouTube video, reports the Mirror.

Katie claimed that there is ‘no harm’ in letting her glass grow out a bit while she awaits the arrival of her brand new lawnmower next week.

The mother-of-five reportedly told the news outlet that the cardboard piled  by her bin was ready to be moved to the recycling.  

A spokesperson for Katie said: ‘Katie was deeply upset to be garden shamed and unfairly linked to her past mucky mansion. Much has changed since then.’

Katie relocated from her former home in West Sussex nicknamed the ‘mucky mansion’ and into a £4,250 per month six-bedroom home in Surrey before lockdown.

Her rep revealed that ‘much has changed’ since the move and she has kept on top of keeping the house nice and clean.

The I’m A Celebrity star has been working hard to get her life back on track after being declared bankrupt and a string of personal blows, including splitting from her fiancé Kris Boyson last year.

Former glamour model Katie, who was once worth more than £40million, was made bankrupt last November after the High Court found she had failed to stick to a plan to repay her debts, estimated to be £800,000.

She was forced to give up her £2million 11-bedroom mansion a month later after signing the property over to a trustee.

The house in West Sussex, where Katie lived with her children, included a swimming pool, tennis court and horse stables.

Katie took out a second mortgage on the property in 2015, but faced monthly payments of £12,300, and is now thought to be £100,000 in arrears.

Following years of incomplete renovations the house Katie even showcased the extent of the mess on her reality series My Crazy Life.

The star was planning on turning her home into a wedding venue, and soon started extensive renovations which halted after being declared bankrupt, with Katie being forced to live in Harvey’s annex.
