LOVE Island's Shaughna Phillips has hinted that Love Island producers edited scenes beyond recognition in the winter series earlier this year.
The 26-year-old star shot to fame on the ITV2 show but admitted that she won't watch the episodes back because they are so drastically different to what actually happened.
Shaughna shared her fear of "tainting memories" of her time in South Africa by seeing the edited version of events.
She even claimed that she can't remember saying her iconic "congrats hun" retort when partner Callum Jones snubbed her in Casa Amor.
The TV favourite was seemingly left heartbroken at the time, but she has now insisted that the entire situation was just "a big laugh".
Discussing watching back Callum's return to the main villa with new girl Molly Smith, Shaughna said: "Me and him were literally crying with laughter the whole time that was happening.
"It was just a big laugh, a joke – it looks so serious!"
She added to The Metro: "It was so completely… I must have said some of the things for them to have been able to chop it and cut it up, but I don’t ever remember saying it.
"It’s like I was watching something I’ve never seen before."
Shaughna went on to insist that things were "completely different" in reality to how they appeared on TV.
She said: "It’s more so the editing. The way that they edit the show is amazing…
"…They do actually work wonders."
