HOMEMADE pizzas can seem like a real faff especially when you can pick a frozen one up and have it cooked in a matter of minutes.
But people are revealing how to make the Italian staple in their slow cookers – and it couldn’t be easier.
Best of all you can leave it to cook while you’re out for the day, meaning that you can look forward to a delicious crispy based pie by the time you get home from work.
Taking to the Facebook group Crockpot/ Slow Cooker Recipes & Tips, one mum shared snaps of her delicious dinner.
She simply prepared the base and toppings beforehand, then placed it in her slow cooker for one and a half hours.
Sharing her before and after snaps she wrote: “My first ever sc pizza!
“Jus-rol thin crust pizza base (in fridge section in supermarket tomato sauce comes with it)
“I added cooked chicken, peppers, mushroom, pepperoni, mozzarella slices , chillies and grated cheese…was in sc (slow cooker) on high for about 1 and a half hours… can't wait to taste it!”
And others were quick to follow suit sharing their own snaps of their home made delights.
One wrote: “I made the pizza tonight, probably went over board with cheese though ? it was amazing.”
Several others came forward with their own tips for perfecting the recipe.
Commenting on the post one wrote: “Made it twice this week but with my own gf pizza dough recipe – family are now asking for recipe – definitely tea towel on lid – it’s the best.”
Agreeing a second added: “Well done. Bet you used a dish towel under the lid to keep it from going soggy.”
