Bizarre footage of Kevin Spacey singing La Bamba in the street in Seville weeks after sex abuse case collapsed – The Sun

BIZARRE footage shows disgraced actor Kevin Spacey singing and playing guitar with a local band on the streets of Seville.

The two-time Oscar winner, 60, the subject of numerous sex abuse allegations, recently had a groping case against him in the US dropped.

Spacey, who was dumped by Netflix show House of Cards when the claims emerged last year, denies all the allegations against him.

Now, the embattled actor, who performed a poetry reading in Rome last month, has popped up in Spain singing with a university band among late-night revellers.

In the clip, filmed on Sunday, the Usual Suspects star is seen playing guitar while singing Latino hit song La Bamba.

According to local news outlet ABCdeSevilla, the 60-year-old American bumped into a band from the University of Seville.

SINGING AMID SCANDAL

One of the group’s members Francisco Rodríguez says he recognised the famous actor mingling on the bustling streets of the Andalusian city.

Francisco told the news site that he was amazed at the actor’s musical abilities.

He said: “I knew that he is fond of music and that he has a group, he also likes to imitate, but I did not expect him to take the guitar and play with us.

“The truth is that the time he was with us was very kind, he was taking pictures with us and was very close. Without a doubt, it was an experience that I will not forget.”

ALLEGATIONS PERSIST

In July, prosecutors in Massachusetts dropped a case in which Spacey was accused of groping a young man at a bar in 2016.

The case was dismissed after the accuser invoked his Fifth Amendment right not to testify about text messages from the night of the alleged groping that the defence claimed were deleted.

Spacey is still being investigated in London and Los Angeles over several allegations and faces a federal lawsuit alleging he assaulted a massage therapist.

What are the allegations against Kevin Spacey?

Spacey is being accused of sexual assault in episodes dating back to the 1980s by multiple men.

A series of allegations then emerged, many of them from people who had worked with Spacey in the entertainment industry in Britain and the US.

In July, the Metropolitan Police confirmed they had flown out to the US in May to interview Spacey in relation to six more allegations of sex attacks between 1996 and 2013 which took place in the UK.

The Hollywood star was interviewed voluntarily and has not been arrested.

Spacey was first publicly accused by fellow actor Anthony Rapp which prompted the Usual Suspects star to come out as gay.

He was subsequently sacked from his role in Netflix drama House of Cards.

Another allegation levelled against the Academy Award winner was made by a man who claims Spacey sexually assaulted him in West Hollywood in 1992.

But LA prosecutors said too much time had elapsed and it was now outside California’s statute of limitations.

Spacey denies all the allegations against him.
