Elvis impersonator fined £9,000 after neighbours complained about his late night singing – The Sun

AN Elvis impersonator has been silenced and fined £9,000 after his singing got neighbours all shook up.

Dean Holland was given a noise abatement order for belting out the King’s hits in his kitchen all night.

He then breached the order by continuing performances over the internet to fans in the US.

Now officials have seized two TVs, a jukebox, speakers and DJ equipment and fined him and girlfriend Katie Mooney £9,000.

Dean, 45, of Bradford, said he fell foul of the law only because of neighbours’ suspicious minds about Elvis.

The dad of one said: “I just don’t think they like Elvis.

“But they’ve never let me know they had a problem with what I do.

“The first I knew about it was when I got a call from the Environmental Health team.”

Dean admits to singing into the early hours for his international audience.

But he added: “I don’t get paid. I do this to bring fans together — to reach those who are lonely or isolated.”

“But I’ve been told I cannot get any of my equipment back. I’ve lost so much.”
