FORMER Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong has revealed all about his bitter feud with "bully" Samir Nasri.
The pair were team-mates at the Gunners for one full season in 2011 before Nasri angered supporters by opting to join league rivals Manchester City.
Frimpong, who was forced to retire aged 27 with a knee injury, admitted that their personal rivalry started after a game against Liverpool.
Just 19 at the time and with the scores locked at 0-0, the former Ghanaian international was sent off with 20 minutes to play and Arsenal ended up succumbing to a 2-0 defeat.
Speaking to the Athletic, Frimpong admitted his relationship with his ex-team-mate broke down after Nasri "stood up in front of everybody and said we lost the game because of me."
Their personal rivalry had been ignited but it reached new levels when Nasri left for Manchester City.
Speaking in no uncertain terms to his face how he felt about the midfielder, Frimpong said: "I just told him that I don’t like him, I don’t respect him and I will never respect him as a professional player."
The pair would eventually meet in a league contest and months after a "threatening phone call" made by Nasri, Frimpong hit out at his lack of respect.
He added: "During the game, he told me he could buy me. That’s how stupid this guy is. He probably could then because he had millions, but that’s no respect.
"I feel like he was a bully, I feel like he didn’t know his responsibilities as a senior player to be able to help younger players."
Nasri, 32, is now plying his trade with Belgium outfit Anderlecht after a failed stint with West Ham last season.
Frimpong's career failed to take off after leaving Arsenal and after being released by Barnsley in 2014, he had stints at Ufa, Arsenal Tula, AFC Eskilstuna and Ermis Aradippou.
