ROMELU LUKAKU fears heartache over his move to Juventus.
The Manchester United striker’s move rests on Paulo Dybala agreeing to move the other way – but the Argentina star's wage demands are proving a huge stumbling block.
Lukaku, 26, has returned to training at Carrington this week after failing to complete his move to Italy, with Inter also interested in him.
And he is mentally preparing to start the season at Old Trafford as Dybala’s personal terms will make a swap deal difficult to complete.
Dybala, 25, wants £350,000-a-week to go from a Champions League team to a United side playing in the Europa League this coming campaign.
That would make him the second-highest paid player at the club behind Alexis Sanchez.
SEIZE ANY OPPORTUNITY
Marcus Rashford is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first-choice to lead United’s attack next season.
But Lukaku is prepared to seize ANY opportunity to force his way back into Solskjaer’s plans should his move to Italy fail to materialise.
Lukaku had his heart set on a move but is still likely to get chances to play his way into goalscoring form, with United also competing in Europe.
He is still first choice for Belgium and a successful Euro 2020 next summer would also boost his options.
Meanwhile, Leicester have left England centre-back Harry Maguire out of their squad number video after United launched an £80m bid for the 26-year-old.
But Old Trafford chiefs are worried the Foxes will hold out for £85m.
Maguire is understood to have told team-mates and manager Brendan Rodgers he wants to move.
