Amazon Echo prices cut as new deals revealed ahead of huge sale event

Next week Amazon’s big 2019 Prime Day sale will get underway.

This two-day event begins on Monday, July 15 with the online retailer boasting it will offer the biggest Prime Day deals ever on Alexa-enabled devices.

Although there will clearly be some big savings to be grabbed in this shopping bonanza, Amazon has begun releasing some deals early.

In fact, you can currently save money off the Amazon Echo and smaller Amazon Echo Dot with prices starting from just £24.99.

Here’s the deals of offer from Amazon

Amazon Echo Dot – £24.99 (SAVING £25) or pay £5 per month interest-free over 5 months.

Amazon Echo – £59.99 (SAVING £30) or pay £12 per month interest-free over 5 months.

Along with these product deals, there’s also plenty of offers on Amazon’s services including three months of Kindle Unlimited for free.

Amazon also says it is offering discounts for those buying or renting movies via Amazon Prime Video with some films now costing under £2 to watch.

“Get ready, as we pull back the curtain to reveal exclusive products, special performances and two full days of phenomenal deals this Prime Day,” said Jeff Wilke, Amazon CEO Worldwide Consumer.

“Our vision is that Prime Day should be the absolute best time to be a member – when you can enjoy shopping, savings, entertainment and some of the best deals Prime members have ever seen. Stay tuned as we reveal thousands of new product launches, as well as world-class entertainment and more, leading up to Prime Day on July 15 and 16.”

News of this sale comes as Amazon has just added a new smart device to its growing range of products with consumers in the UK finally able to buy the new Echo Wall Clock.

This device was announced last year but has only just become available in Britain.

The new £29.99 clock links straight to your Echo speaker and is aimed at helping you keep tabs on timers, alarms and reminders.

Amazon says that in addition to telling time, the easy-to-read clock features 60 LEDs so you can set and track multiple timers and alarms simultaneously.

Everything is set through your paired Echo device, which also syncs the time of day so you never need to worry again about adjusting for daylight savings.

The Echo Clock is available to pre-order from today with it shipping on August 6.
